A Day in the Wilderness - 8 hours

Take an unforgettable full day tour, exploring the incredibly remote waterways and wilderness of Bathurst Harbour/ Port Davey.

Departing from Cambridge Airport, our aircraft will fly you into this remote area via the south coast. Flying over Hobart's eastern suburbs and the Derwent River, we will make our way down the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, past Recherche Bay to Tasmanian's most southern point, South East Cape. At this point we leave civilisation behind and enter the vast south west wilderness by following the South Coast Track all the way to Melaleuca.

On the ground at Melaleuca, you'll have the opportunity to explore some of the area, including a visit to see the rare and endangered Orange-Bellied Parrot at the Deny King Bird Hide, and do some short local walks.

Afterwards, we'll board one of our boats for a trip down Melaleuca Inlet and into Bathurst Harbour, Port Davey, an untouched waterway twice the size of Sydney Harbour.

You will see the remote Celery Top Islands, take walks in the wilderness, giving you an opportunity to experience untouched wilderness while breathing the cleanest air in the world. We will pick a remote location for a delicious lunch including Tasmanian produce and wine.

Late in the afternoon, we'll reboard our aircraft, and return to Cambridge Airport, flying via spectacular Federation Peak, and Mt Picton, over Huonville and Hobart city.

East Coast and Maria Island Tour - 3 hours

The east coast of Tasmania has some spectacular scenery, and Par Avion give you an opportunity to appreciate this, from the air, the ground and the sea.

Departing Cambridge, you'll fly up the east coast of Tasmania toward Freycinet Peninsula, and the famous Wineglass Bay, named one of the worlds best beaches. You'll fly overhead giving you some great photo opportunities, before tracking south, following the Freycinet Peninsula and on toward Maria Island.

Serving as a penal colony from 1825 until 1850, Darlington on Maria Island is the most representative and intact example of a probation station in Australia. The site has remained relatively unchanged since the convict era and this has been highlighted through the area's recent inclusion as a UNESCO listed World Heritage property.

You will board your aircraft where there is an opportunity to have an aerial view of the historic penal settlement of Port Arthur and see the spectacular cliffs found on the eastern side of the peninsula. You will see the remote Tasman Island lighthouse and fly over Tasmania's world-renowned big wave surfing destination, Shipsterns Bluff, before returning to Cambridge via the city of Hobart.

Wild West Coast Tour - 9 hours

Departing Cambridge, your scenic flight will take you over the central highlands of Tasmania towards the island's wild west coast. From the air, you'll marvel at the grand scale of Macquarie Harbour, with some great aerial photo opportunities, before descending to Strahan to join the award-winning Gordon River Cruise.

Your day tour will continue on a luxury catamaran on a journey through 'Hell's Gates', the mouth of Macquarie Harbour before looking at local salmon and trout farms and then cruising up the famous waterway of the Gordon River, part of Tasmania's UNESCO Wilderness World Heritage Area. Relax in comfort in atrium seating and experience picturesque reflections and a historical and interpretive trip through one of the world's most pristine temperate rainforests. Your Gordon River Cruise vessel will stop at 'Heritage Landing', where you can take a walk through the rainforest, breathe the cleanest air in the world and see ancient Huon Pines. Some of these trees are more than 2000 years old!

Enjoy a Chef-prepared buffet lunch as you cruise to the second stop on your day tour, Sarah Island. Once a feared convict penal colony and now one of Tasmania's most interesting historic sites. You'll enjoy a guided interpretive tour of the island, hearing stories of the convict era.

Upon return, you'll arrive back in time to peruse the local gift shop and take a stroll around the beautiful town of Strahan before returning by air to Cambridge.
