Paradise awaits - Islands of Tahiti

While The Islands of Tahiti have technically been open for Australians since mid-2021, the usual route via Auckland has remained closed and travellers have had to travel a much longer route via Hawaii or Los Angeles. The recent announcement that Australians will be able to travel to New Zealand from April onwards means that the length of the journey to The Islands of Tahiti has been cut significantly shorter and a holiday in the destination is finally more of a reality for many Australians. The national flag carrier Air Tahiti Nui has announced that flights will restart on 5 May and Air New Zealand has announced they are restarting flights to Papeete on 6 July 2022.
FOR ALL TRAVELERS
As of Monday 28 March, 2022, for all travellers to French Polynesia, it is no longer required to: - Register on the ETIS platform
- Complete a self-test upon arrival at Tahiti Faa'a Airport
- Complete additional self-tests (on D+2 and D+5 for non-vaccinated travellers with a compelling reason for travel)
