Day 1 - Darwin See historic downtown, the Botanical Gardens, the world's largest collection palm trees, and the modern developments of the city. Day 2 Darwin - Kakadu National Park Kakadu National Park is unique World Heritage area of tropical Savannah and one of Australia's richest ecological environments. Kakadu's rivers, plains and wetlands are home to more than one third of Australia's bird species plus other wildlife like crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies, reptiles and fish. See Nouralangie Rock with its finest examples of Aboriginal rock art, travel on the Yellow Water Cruise where nature is raw, birdlife is in abundance and where crocodiles rule. In more recent years, the park has become world-famous as the “Home of Crocodile Dundee”. Day 3 Kakadu - Katherine Gorge National Park Glide the tranquil waters of East Alligator River, swim in the waterfalls, and see magnetic Termite mounds. Travel via the historic Adelaide River Inn and Adelaide River War cemetery to the Nitmuluk region and Katherine . Day 4 Katherine Gorge - Darwin Katherine Gorge National Park is the region's most famous landmark with a collection of 13 gorges cut through the sandstone plateau. Enjoy a spectacular 2 hour Katherine Gorge cruise and return back to Darwin via famous Litchfield National Park with its picturesque waterfalls and lush rainforests.
