Transfer to a helicopter for a thrilling flight landing at the Mitchell Falls campground. Your pilot/guide will lead your 4.5 km walk to the Mitchell Falls.

Spend 2 hours here then board your helicopter for a return flight over the Mitchell Falls to the airstrip. Then fly by plane to Kununurra over the Cockburn Range and El Questro.

Mitchell Falls, in the remote Kimberley, is one of the most beautiful multi-tiered waterfalls in the world. It is reached only by four-wheel drive or helicopter, but eco-tourists and photographers make the journey to this ancient land. Far from civilisation, in untouched wilderness, one of the highest and most powerful waterfalls in Australia tumbles from bowl to bowl, falling up to 80 metres into a deep emerald pool in four tiers. The surrounding landscape is a rich mix of reds, blues and greens. The wildlife is varied too, with about 50 species of marsupials, 220 species of birds, and 86 species of amphibians and reptiles, including saltwater and freshwater crocodiles.

The best time to visit is the dry season (May to September). For those who prefer to travel by road, the nearest starting points are Derby (350 km to the south-west) and Wyndham (270 km to the south-east).

The air safari from Kununurra includes hotel and airport transfers, scenic flights by plane to the falls and back, a landing in Mitchell River National Park, a helicopter flight with breathtaking views of the falls, and walks in the reserve to the falls.
