Only 40 minutes from the Gold Coast, Tropical Fruit World farm has the world's largest selection of tropical fruits in one location. Growing new kinds of fruits began here as a family project over 20 years ago. In those days avocadoes and lychees were the new range, today of course they are reasonably common. In recent years the horticultural enterprise has exploded with a vast array of new fruits from virtually every region of the world. Travel by tractor train for a safari through the plantation laden with 500 kinds of fruit from the Amazon, the Andes, Central America, India, China and South East Asia - not forgetting the native bush fruits of Australia. Here you will be able to taste, touch and learn of the tropical fruits in season at the fruit tasting show. There are many options at the farm and you may wish to continue the tour by cruising along the jungle-like river teeming with wildlife or take the mini-train for a fun ride to a Treasure Island to meet the friendly local animals. Before leaving Tropical Fruit World you may like to visit the shop to buy some unique souvenirs and natural health and beauty products as well as some of the delicious fruits that you have been tasting during the day.
